Shape Your Future: Have Your Say on District Development!

From January 22 to March 4, the public can participate in a consultation regarding the Local Plan, focusing on housing, employment, infrastructure, and the environment in areas outside the South Downs National Park until 2040. The Local Plan aims to balance housing needs with infrastructure and environmental concerns, meeting government targets while minimizing the impact of development on the environment and local landscape.

Cllr Angela Glass emphasizes the complexity of Local Plans, stressing the importance of public input in addressing housing, infrastructure, and environmental challenges. The consultation will utilize a digital platform for easy access and efficient commenting, highlighting the significance of residents' voices in shaping the district's future development.
